Michelle Chimko Named President and CEO of the Alberta Motor Association
Edmonton—Following an extensive internal recruitment process, the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) is pleased to announce that Michelle Chimko will be the organization’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2021.
Michelle joined AMA in 1999 and has earned a reputation for her dauntless work ethic, clear vision, compassionate leadership, and cool head in a crisis—qualities that ultimately saw her named Chief Operating Officer in 2014. Over the course of her time at AMA, Michelle has spearheaded countless successful initiatives and played a critical role in the transformation of the organization. She revolutionized AMA’s travel operations; deepened the everyday value of membership through innovative Rewards and prepaid cards strategies; and has maintained an enduring focus on members and the membership experience.
